KNOW WHEN TO SEEK SPECIALIST CARE
A surgeon shaped by precision & by the families who trusted him.
Dr. Anup grew up watching his father work as an ENT surgeon. Years later, carrying one difficult case across the road from KEM Hospital to Tata Memorial changed the direction of his own career.
At Tata Memorial, he learned that every patient entering an operating room brings a family with them. That lesson now guides how he explains decisions, plans function-conscious surgery and stays involved through recovery.
Head & Neck Cancer Specialisation

When should I see a head and neck cancer surgeon?
If you have a confirmed or suspected cancer of the mouth, throat, voice box, thyroid, salivary glands or neck—or need a second opinion on a proposed operation—a specialist review can clarify the next step.
Can Dr. Anup review an existing treatment plan?
Yes. A second-opinion consultation can review pathology, imaging, staging and the proposed treatment plan to clarify the available options.
Will surgery affect speech, swallowing or appearance?
The likely functional and cosmetic effects depend on the tumour and operation. These are discussed before treatment, including reconstruction and rehabilitation when relevant.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Bring biopsy and pathology reports, imaging with films or digital copies, previous treatment records, a current medicine list and a brief summary of symptoms.
